Singapore Varikka Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) Fruit Live Plant (Home & Garden)

Singapore Varikka, also known as Singapore Jack or Ceylon Jack, is an introduced jackfruit type associated with Sri Lanka. It is valued for its early-bearing habit and fruits with sweet, yellow, firm-textured bulbs and a pleasant aroma.

Jackfruit trees grow well in warm, humid climates and prefer deep, fertile, well-draining soil. Choose an outdoor garden location with sufficient space for the tree to develop. Water regularly during establishment while avoiding waterlogged soil.

Vegetatively propagated plants may begin fruiting earlier than seed-grown trees. However, the time to fruit depends on the propagation method, plant age, climate and care.
